What is the Taliyeh Award?
The Taliyeh Award is a solid bronze medallion with relief sculpture created in honor of Woodstock Taliyeh II, an older broodmare from the rare Shirine dam line. Her small filly is depicted with her, her last foal in her lifetime. Born on her dam’s birthday in a weak state, this tiny filly was able to survive thanks to human intervention and round-the-clock care. This award is a symbol of love and devotion people have for raising Caspian horses.
The Taliyeh Award recognizes one purebred Caspian each year for its excellence and potential to preserve and improve the breed. The bronze medallion is displayed upon a plaque that is awarded to the current owner of the winning Caspian.
