All Caspian purebred horses are eligible for this show from any registry. Submit your horse’s conformation photos.
Taliyeh Award Ceremony 2023
The Taliyeh Award is a solid bronze medallion given to the best junior Caspian horse of the year at the annual award ceremony that takes place during the week of National Horse Day (U.S.) and recognizes the efforts and dedication of Caspian horse breeders who preserve the Caspian breed.
Caspian Photo Contest
Caspian purebred and part bred horses are eligible for this show from any Caspian registry. We are looking for the most creative or dramatic photos of your Caspian horse or foal. Photos will be judged on the horse’s presence in relation to the overall composition of the image.
Horse Extravaganza
We’ll be showcasing the Caspian horse at the Washington State Fair for the second time this year in the Horse Extravaganza, a new event for fairgoers. Come visit us to say hello and see a Caspian mare up close and personal.
Webinar: How to register your Caspian
What steps are involved in registering a Caspian? Join us for this webinar where we’ll walk you through all the steps for registration, and what the process is for each section in our registry. We’ll show you some techniques on collecting DNA and offer suggestions for getting the best registration photos possible.
Taliyeh Award Ceremony
Join us for our first annual celebration of the Caspian, where we will cover the status of the Caspian horse for the year and our preservation progress on saving the breed. We will also hold quizzes and games with prizes, which we will send out to the winners after the event.
This annual award is presented to the best CHBA registered youngstock of the year.
CHBA members can nominate a horse prior to its third birthday and conveniently use our online nomination form. Our registry manager will contact the owner of the nominated horse for additional information if necessary.
Most importantly, this award ceremony is about celebrating the Caspian horse and having fun. This event will be broadcast live on our YouTube channel. We hope to see you there!

Do you have questions on what best practices you can use for tracking the breeding of your mares? Join us for a discussion on tracking heat cycles, planning for a foal, and the different breeding options available. We will also review how to handle and train stallions to behave around mares.
Kickoff Celebration
Join us in the next chapter for the Caspian horse, and celebrate the founding of a new Caspian association, one which values the traits of small horses and promotes proven conservation strategies. Our goal is to recognize the hard work of breeders who selflessly dedicate themselves and sacrifice their time and resources to raising the next generation of Caspian horses and horses of Caspian descent, ensuring the breed continues into the future.
