Membership Rules & Regulations

We expect members to abide by our membership rules. Certain violations may result in a temporary suspension of membership privileges.

  1. Any person or entity that is actively producing or supporting production of purebred or part bred Caspian horses (owns Caspian breeding stock and is breeding or plans to breed within three years) or is providing services or financially supporting the purchase of services for breeding purebred or part bred Caspians is eligible and can apply for membership with CHBA.

  2. There are three classes of membership with CHBA:

    • Adult Annual Membership (age 18 and older and owns Caspian stock)

    • Youth Annual Membership (under age 18 and owns Caspian stock)

    • Sponsor Membership (age 18 and older).

  3. Any person or entity that wants to join CHBA must apply for membership with the membership application form.

  4. All information on the form must be current and correct and signed by an authorized person.

  5. Membership fees to be paid at the time of application for membership either online or by mail.

  6. Completed applications shall be presented to the CHBA registrar for consideration. Once approved, CHBA will send a welcome letter with membership card.

  7. To prevent any disruption of membership, renewal fees must be paid by December 31 each year.

  8. Members should submit any changes in name or contact information within 30 days of a change.

  9. Members commit to share and report necessary data to CHBA regarding registration of animals and their breeding or health status to help maintain an accurate representation of available breeding stock.

  10. Members may promote CHBA when advertising purebred or part bred Caspian horses, distribute CHBA materials as available, and follow best business practices in line with the CHBA mission.

  11. Any member found to have engaged in fraud, misrepresentation, copyright or trademark infringement, animal neglect or abuse, bullying or harassment, defamation (libel or slander), or found to be in dispute of U.S. law or in violation of U.S. law may be ineligible for membership and have their membership revoked.

  12. Concerns regarding the conduct of another member should be sent to the CHBA registrar for mediation or correction.
