If you acquired a CHBA registered horse without a transfer form or its official registration papers, you are still able to record a change of ownership and obtain a replacement registration certificate.
To complete this type of transfer, you must get a scan of the microchip number and collect a hair sample for DNA testing. Mail in the form and sample to CHBA and pay the transfer fee.
